AFTERNOON SHOWERS


It had been a rainy afternoon for the past few days.
As she idly roves the green field, gray clouds started gathering up,
completely covering the clear sky that started the day.

T'was thirty minutes past two when she checked her watch.
Busy crowd.People running around.
The usual fuss in the campus.

So, this is how things go.
She knows nothing. Maybe, not a thing at all.

She gazed up and felt tears falling from the sky.

Good. She thought.


That afternoon, heavy drops fell down and endlessly wet the earth.
